Mystical Varanasi

Recently visited Varanasi- the land of mystical sadhus, serpentine lanes, innumerable temples and the cradle of Hinduism. Every temple has a link with history and it was interesting to know about various religious leaders and kings who propagated Hinduism through time.
I somehow landed up in a home stay on the banks of Ganges and I got a life time opportunity to be my own self, meditate and introspect- literally every morning and every evening for three days. Incessant rains across northern India had ended up making the Ganges very turbulent in Varanasi but the cool evening breeze with sounds of bells and conchs a;ll around mesmerized me.
