The land of Rains- SREYSPEAK

Baripada or the land of Rains is a sleepy little town in Orissa, on the confluence of river Budhabalanga, Jarali and Sarali.Surrounded by the states of Jharkhand and West Bengal it is the birth place of noted painters, writers, musicians,playwrights, actors , scientists and bureaucrats. It is here where I spent my childhood and grew up to manhood in the midst of lilting tribal music and a rich cultural bonding epitomising the simple tribal life depicting honesty and integrity.

Mythical Sangam

Sangam as the name depicts is the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati.
While the waters of Ganga and Yamuna are distinctively different, Saraswati is steeped in legend.

Hindus believe that at the Sangam, one can offer prayers to the departed forefathers so that their souls can stay in peace.

Lovely place to get immersed in religion.
